Alabama Shakes were an American rock band formed in Athens, Alabama in 2009. The band consisted of lead singer and guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, bassist Zac Cockrell, and drummer Steve Johnson. The band released two studio albums, "Boys & Girls" in 2012 and "Sound & Color" in 2015, before disbanding in 2018.

Alabama Shakes gained recognition for their soulful and bluesy sound.
